Chris Hanlon - Admissions/Financial Aid/Owner

Chris earned her Associates degree in Accounting from Linn Tech in 1986 and has been the accountant for American College of Hair Design since 1992. She joined the staff at American College of Hair Design in 2001 as the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid and most recently, purchased the American College of Hair Design from the Benscoter family trust in 2016.

 

Jody Manuel - Cosmetology/Barber Instructor/Director of Education

Jody completed his training at American College of Hair Design in 2015 and got his instructors license in 2017.  Jody has attended classes in St. Louis, Kansas City as well as many local classes.

 

 Tonya Jacobs-Jackson - Esthetics Instructor

Tonya completed her Esthetics training in 2006 from the American College of Hair Design.  Later in 2006 she became Laser certified.  In 2009 she completed her certification to apply permanent make-up.  Adding to her list of accomplishments, she achieved her Nail tech certification in 2011 and in 2015 became a licensed instructor.  Tonya is currently the esthetics instructor at American College of Hair Design.

 

Rory Colburn - Barber Instructor

Rory completed his barber training in 2019 at American College of Hair Design. Upon graduating he began his career at Sedalia's Two-Bit Barber Company where he continues to work part-time. Rory returned to ACHD in 2021 with his instructor's license, as a barber instructor. 

 

Corissa Butts - Cosmetology Instructor 

Corissa graduated from ACHD in 2019 from the Cosmetology program. She returned to ACHD in January of 2020 to pursue her instructor's license. She has three daughters, Harley, Jazminn, and Zanah. She has always had an interest in hair and beauty and wanted to share her love of and talent with her students.
