The American College of Hair Design has been helping students find their way to success in the world of hair design for many years. The school was founded in the 1960's by Mrs. Fran Nash; under the name The Sedalia School of Hairdressing. Mrs. Nash owned the school until 1980 when it was bought by Jim Anderson. Mr. Anderson owned it until 1990 when Tahereh Benscoter, current owner and director, purchased the school.  We moved into our brand new facility at 125 Winchester Drive in Sedalia in 2001.

Our school is completely air-conditioned, well lighted, and housed in a large, 5600-square-foot, modern building with classrooms, a student lounge, and a large supervised clinic area. The clinic is equipped with 29 styling stations, manicure and pedicure stations and 2 spa pedicure chairs. The classroom is equipped with audio-video educational system, many reference books, and supplies all the equipment required by the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology.
